Company Overview
Subsidiaries
Appalachian Energy Holdings is an integrated oilfield and coalfield services company that acquires, operates and develops companies in the energy sector in the Appalachian Basin. The operating subsidiaries serve as Appalachian Energy’s operational and organizational platform. Since 2003, the Principals have reviewed numerous acquisition and investment opportunities in the southern Appalachian energy sector. Appalachian Energy identifies companies with complementary operations to our existing operating subsidiaries that are either focused on energy production or providing support services related to natural gas and coal production in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Bringing these companies under the Appalachian Energy umbrella provides a more strategic position for the companies and more diverse services for our customers.

Current lines of business, through its subsidiaries, include oil and natural gas well-site preparation, construction services, pipeline construction, fluid services, down-hole services, reclamation and ancillary services for oil and natural gas E&P companies, as well as mine site development, mass land clearing, and construction services for coal production companies. Appalachian Energy supplies similar construction services to other energy related companies such as coal-bed methane gas producers and to the heavy-highway industry. Appalachian Energy serves a combination of the region’s largest coal production and oil and gas E&P companies, as well as numerous smaller, independent Appalachian operators.
